Site monitoring and supervision services
Requirements by Councils for development sites to be monitored by an Arboricultural Consultant are becoming more common and are frequently included in specifically worded planning conditions.
With 30 years’ experience of development sites we are aware of the balance that has to be sought between development pressures and tree protection.
We offer bespoke monitoring of site activities and submission of monitoring statements to Councils to comply with planning requirements.

Monitoring frequencies are often fixed or negotiated at pre-commencement meetings and ensuring that tree protection measures are correctly installed and to required specifications can avoid overzealous Council involvement through the construction process.
To provide value for money to our clients we will typically aim to combine monitoring visits with required supervisory works and provide on site problem solving to assist Site Managers in the smooth running of the development.
Supervisory/oversight provision can be provided for removal/replacement of surfacing within Root Protection Areas (RPAs), building demolition and foundation removal, installation of no-dig/cellular system drive/parking within RPAs and services/drainage trenching. The services include reporting to Council departments to confirm compliance with best practices and British Standards.
